We are two patriots from Sušice, perhaps enthusiasts, who appreciate the work of the old masters and try to return their historical buildings to their original form and reconstruct them in such a way as to provide you with maximum comfort during your holiday.

We are therefore an apartment complex offering a unique set of above-standard accommodation in two adjacent, sensitively reconstructed buildings. In combination with the services offered, you will find your ideal vacation with us.
What we offer
We want to differentiate ourselves in the quality of the services we offer. We do not want to offer a compromise solution for your holiday. We want you to feel at home during your stay, but also to experience what we have prepared for you. We want to continuously improve our services, despite the difficult times we have all found ourselves in in the last year. Or precisely because of it. Nowadays , there is no time to compromise and we will try to do so.
What you will find with us
With us you will find quality accommodation in fully and luxuriously furnished apartments, relaxation in the form of a “men’s – cigar club”, relaxation in the form of a newly built wellness from the former Jewish mikveh. However, you can spend your holiday actively with us. We will offer you a wide range of activities that can be carried out in the immediate vicinity of our apartments. You can also see the beauty of the Bohemian Forest from a bird’s eye view, when we will arrange a flight on a sports plane.
Where we are
Our apartments are located on the border of the center of Sušice, the famous gate of the Bohemian Forest and its sports and recreational part. From our apartments , you can get to all places of interest in just a few minutes on foot, by bike or rollerblading, or directly in a swimsuit to the Luh natural spa or the very sought-after and modern indoor pool, and in winter you can run directly on cross-country skis.
Moving with the times
In order to meet current trends and needs, we have prepared an online booking option and an increasingly sought-after contactless check-in and self-service reception. But of course, we will also be happy to serve you in a “traditional – personal” way.
Building of the Year of the Pilsen Region
In 2009, the 7th year of the public competition Building of the Year of the Pilsen Region took place. The competition aims to acquaint the widest professional and lay public with the level of construction and architecture of the Pilsen Region and to support high-quality comprehensive implementations, from the architectural concept to the craftsmanship detail. The buildings entered into the competition are assessed by an expert jury appointed at the proposal of the organizer. Individual buildings are judged mainly according to the following criteria:
- architectural expression of the building and its integration into the environment
- overall spatial and functional solution of the work from concept to detail
- quality of construction, complexity of the solution, coordination and mastery of details
- Other benefits of the construction (technical invention, extraordinary design, public benefit, etc.)
Apartmány Bašta were nominated in the category “B – Reconstruction of buildings” and in the finals received an Honorable Mention from the expert jury for the sensitive reconstruction of a historic building. From the jury’s statement: “The nomination for the title of Building of the Year is proposed for a demanding but sensitive reconstruction, which is perfected by the execution of original historical elements (tiles, window fittings), which stand out next to well-crafted additions to new ones. The layout and original use of the attic space and the pure craftsmanship reconstruction of the gallery part are interesting.”
